This drawing is all black ink on light paper. You see wavy, uneven lines that look like they’re moving. Some shapes resemble faces or hands, but they’re not clear. The lines are thick in spots and fade out in others. At the bottom, a few words are written in French. The artist used quick, loose strokes. It feels like the ink was splashed or dragged. This style was new back then—less about perfect shapes, more about raw energy. Check out André Masson next to see more of his work like this.
