Double Goblet with Two Genii at the Base is a 1531 ink by Sebald Beham, a Renaissance work, held at National Gallery of Art.
This picture shows two strange, winged figures holding up a fancy goblet. The goblet is stacked with smaller cups, all decorated with swirls and leaves. The background has more swirls, like a black lace pattern. The two figures look like they’re struggling to hold the goblet up. Their faces are serious, almost worried. The whole thing looks heavy and complicated. If you like this style, look up engraving.
Sebald Beham (1500–1550) was a German painter and printmaker, mainly known for his very small engravings.
