Ornament with Two Genii Riding on Two Chimeras is a 1544 ink by Sebald Beham, a Renaissance work, held at National Gallery of Art.
This picture shows two winged babies riding strange goat-like animals. The animals have horns and spirals on their backs. One baby holds a round mirror. The whole scene is packed into a fancy frame with swirls and leaves. The artist used tiny lines to make shadows and shapes. This kind of printing is called engraving. Look up engraving to see how artists carve into metal to make prints.
Sebald Beham (1500–1550) was a German painter and printmaker, mainly known for his very small engravings.
