About this work

This print shows a chaotic group of muscular, twisting figures tangled together. Some are standing, some are falling, and a few look like they’re fighting or struggling. The scene is all in black and white, with rough, sketchy lines that make the bodies look strong but also a little messy. One figure at the top holds a cross-like object, while others seem to be reaching or pulling at each other. The figures’ faces are tense, and their bodies are all tangled up like a knot. The background looks like a stormy sky with waves, adding to the sense of movement and drama. If you like this kind of dramatic, crowded scene, look up Renaissance.
