Ompeluseura
From the collection of Helsinki City Museum
Ompeluseura is a work by Olga Forslund, held at Helsinki City Museum.
This drawing shows a group of five people sitting around a table in what looks like a cozy room. The people are all wearing old-fashioned clothes and seem to be chatting or laughing with each other. The room has a warm, brownish color and there's a big piece of furniture behind them that could be a cabinet or a bookshelf. One interesting detail is the way the artist used different shades of brown to make the room and the people look like they're from a long time ago. It's like looking at a picture from a history book. Olga Forslund left a small but vivid slice of early 20th-century life in her pencil drawings.
