About this work

This image is a big square made of tiny photos. In the center sits one blurry photo of a person touching their face. Around it are 48 smaller photos—some show faces, some show hands, some show bodies. The colors are mostly gray and brown, like old photos. The big photo looks soft and out of focus. The small ones are sharp and grainy. The artist used a printing trick to mix them together. Look up lithography next to see how this was made.
