Rabbits (Les Lapins) is a 1893 ink by Henri-Charles Guérard, a Impressionism work, depicting Rabbit, held at National Gallery of Art.
This is a woodcut of four rabbits sitting in a row. Their fur looks soft. The artist cut the image into wood then printed it on paper. Guérard used a technique called woodcut. He carved the rabbits’ shapes backward into a block of wood. Then he rolled ink on the block and pressed the paper to make the print. Try looking up woodcut prints by Guérard, Henri-Charles next.
