The Bows of the Agamemnon.
From the collection of Victoria and Albert Museum
The Bows of the Agamemnon. is a work by Haden, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This sketch shows two rough drawings of ship parts. One is a simple side view of a ship’s bow, with a few quick lines for the hull and waves. The other is a more detailed, angled view of a ship’s front, including an anchor with two curved prongs. Both drawings are loose and sketchy, with light pencil strokes that leave the paper mostly blank. The anchor drawing has some faint text near it, but it’s hard to read. The artist seems to have been experimenting with how ships look from different angles. If you like sketches like this, check out the Victoria and Albert Museum.
This 19th-century British artist made detailed pencil drawings of British towns and buildings.
