This print shows loose, tangled lines in earthy browns and soft grays on a white background. The marks look like they’re moving—some thick, some thin—without forming any clear shape. The paper’s edges are clean, but the drawing itself feels rough and quick, almost like scribbles left behind. The artist used different pressures with the pencil or pen, making some lines sharp and others faint. It’s hard to tell what’s supposed to be there, which makes it feel more like a sketch than a finished picture. Check out Hepworth, Barbara to see how her other work plays with form and space.
