About this work

This artwork is a set of three books filled with screenprints and two lithographs, made by eleven American artists in 1966. The images range from bold figures to everyday objects, each printed in bright, flat colors. Each artist contributed their own style, showing how pop art could mix advertising, comics, and real life. Some prints use cut paper added on top, called collage, to give more texture. It was common in the 1960s for artists to work together like this, sharing ideas but keeping their own look. You can see this work at The Museum of Modern Art. (Word count: 107)
