About this work

This is a blank white square with the word "untitled" printed in the middle in small, plain letters. No shapes, colors, or details break up the smooth surface. It looks like a piece of paper with nothing else on it. The simplicity is the point—this is one of eight prints made using a method that carves into metal plates. Lines and textures hide under the surface, even if you can’t see them. Look up etching to see how artists create hidden details this way.
