Spălătorese bretone (Plougastel-Daoulas) is a 1920 unspecified by Rodica Maniu, depicting Washing, held at National Museum of Art of Romania.
In the painting a Breton woman stands by a wash basin, holding a wooden brush and a striped towel. The scene shows everyday work in a coastal village, a glimpse of life before modern laundry machines. The artist uses thick paint, called impasto, to give texture to the cloth and water. She wears a simple dress with a blue apron, typical of the region. You can see more of this style at the Museum of Ethnography. The museum also holds other folk paintings from Brittany.
Rodica Maniu (1892–1958) was an artist, born in Bucharest.
