Untitled is a 2015 acrylic by Matt Connors, a Contemporary Abstract work, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This painting is all straight edges and flat colors. On the left is a tall yellow rectangle. In the middle, three horizontal stripes—bright red on top, faded pink below, then a solid green at the bottom. To the right, another tall red shape, but this one’s uneven, like it was cut and glued on crooked. The colors feel bold but not quite perfect. The red stripe in the middle has a tiny speck of white near the top, almost like a mistake. The frame is wood, painted dark purple, matching the border around the whole thing.
