This painting shows a grand, high-ceilinged church interior. The room is filled with many tall arches and columns, with lots of people walking around or standing in small groups. Some are dressed in dark robes, while others wear lighter-colored clothing. The floor is made of large, square tiles in shades of brown and yellow. In the background, there's a large window with many small panes of glass, letting in lots of natural light. The walls are painted white, and there are a few pieces of artwork hanging on them. The overall atmosphere is one of calmness and serenity. If you want to learn more about this style of painting, look up chiaroscuro.
