This painting shows a bright blue sky with golden clouds. In the center, a figure in a long robe with gold trim stands with arms outstretched, glowing softly. Below, three smaller figures kneel, looking up, all dressed in dark robes with gold edges. The colors are mostly gold, blue, and brown, and the faces have dark outlines and halos. The year "1866" is written in the corner, and the painting looks like it was made to tell a religious story. The figures are stiff and flat, not very realistic.
