Liturghia îngerilor is a 1867 by Gheorghe Tattarescu, depicting Angel, held at Bucharest Municipality Museum.
This sketch shows four tall figures on a pale green background. The person on the left wears loose robes and holds something in their right hand. The other three stand close together, dressed in long robes with wings, their arms raised as if in prayer. Notice how the artist used simple lines to show folds in the clothing and the figures’ gestures. The drawing looks unfinished, almost like a quick study. If you like this style, look up cross-hatching to see how artists build shading with lines.
Gheorghe Tattarescu (Romanian pronunciation: ; October 1818 – October 24, 1894) was a Romanian painter and a pioneer of neoclassicism in his country's modern painting.
