The museum also holds James McNeill Whistler's Howth Head, near Dublin and William Turner's Heidelberg with a Rainbow. Twentieth-century works include pieces by Georgia O'Keeffe, Wassily Kandinsky, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Otto Dix. In 2014, the museum displayed one of two surviving versions of Emanuel Leutze's Washington Crossing the Delaware, the third and final version created by Leutze, which had previously been displayed at the White House; this painting left the museum in April 2022.
