T Nugent made a single recorded print in 1792, a portrait of the actor John Lowin in profile, etched with crisp lines and careful shading. The print shows Lowin in coat and cravat, mouth slightly open as if caught mid-speech. Nugent’s technique leans on the sharp, clean outlines favored by English mezzotint engravers of the late 18th century.
