Artist

P. Rogerson

P. Rogerson is a Romanticism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

This amateur printer in 18th-century London used wooden blocks to turn news into pictures for ordinary folks. He once etched a riot on September 1794 as a single sheet anyone could hang in their kitchen, ink still wet and smudged from the press. Hunt down the Beard Print Collection and you’ll find the same street corner where a brawl becomes a pattern of hats and cudgels.
