After Yun Shouping is a cataloguing designation rather than a personal name. It identifies a work made in the manner of, or as a copy after, the Chinese painter Yun Shouping, who lived from 1633 to 1690 in the early Qing dynasty. Yun Shouping was one of the leading masters of his time and is especially remembered for reviving the boneless technique of flower painting, in which forms are rendered directly in washes of colour without ink outlines. Works labelled in this way follow his style, while the actual maker remains unidentified.
