A. Malyukov

A. Malyukov is a Neoclassicism painter. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Hermitage Museum.

A. Malyukov was a painter and copyist known for a Portrait of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna. Copyists of this type reproduced official and ceremonial portraits of the Russian imperial family, works that were distributed to government offices, institutions, and foreign courts where an original could not be displayed. The name Alexandra Feodorovna was taken by more than one Russian empress, so the sitter may be the consort of Nicholas I or of Nicholas II. Beyond the attribution of this portrait, little is securely documented about the artist's life or career.
