About this work

This painting shows two dark, ink-blot shapes stacked like a heart. The top shape is smaller, with a rough outline and a few faint lines inside. The bottom shape is bigger, with thicker strokes and a wavy edge where the ink drips slightly. The artist used only black ink on plain white paper, letting the shapes sit against the background.
