This altarpiece shows the Three Wise Men kneeling before the baby Jesus. It was made by Andrea della Robbia in Florence early in the 1500s. This enamelled terracotta altarpiece by Andrea della Robbia features the Virgin and Child in high relief, accompanied by Saint Joseph and the ox and ass, with the three Magi presenting gifts. The scene includes nine additional standing figures and a landscape background with riders, while two angels in the sky carry the guiding star. The frame is adorned with white pilasters, a polychrome frieze of cherub heads and garlands, and Albizzi family arms. The work may have been commissioned for a church under Albizzi patronage in late 15th-century Florence.
