Two Riders in a Landscape was painted by Anthony Oberman in 1817, executed in oil paint. The work entered the collection of Adriaan van der Hoop, the nineteenth-century Amsterdam banker and collector who assembled one of the most significant private holdings of Dutch and Flemish art of his era. Following Van der Hoop's death, portions of his collection were transferred to the Amsterdam Museum and the Rijksmuseum, where the painting is now jointly held between the two institutions. The panel measures 29 by 36 centimeters and depicts horses within a landscape setting.
The painting is held by the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, where it is inventoried as part of the holdings of the Adriaan van der Hoop collection. It carries the accession identifier associated with that collection.
It was exhibited at the Rijksmuseum in 1999 as part of the presentation of the Adriaan van der Hoop bequest.
