This is a flat, rectangular sheet covered in a repeating pattern. The background is a deep blue-green, like old paper. Tiny gold shapes—almost like arrows or leaves—fill the space, all pointing in different directions. The edges are slightly uneven, as if hand-cut. The gold shapes look like they were pressed into the paper, not painted. That’s how woodcuts work—ink is pressed onto paper through carved blocks. Look up woodcut to see how this pattern was made.
