This painting shows a waterfall pouring down a rocky cliff. The water looks misty at the top, with a soft white spray. Trees and bushes grow on both sides of the valley, and the sky above is light with some clouds. The artist used loose, sketchy lines to show the water’s movement and the rough texture of the rocks. The colors are mostly earthy greens and browns, with the waterfall standing out in pale blues and whites. Next, check out the Victoria and Albert Museum to see more works like this.
