About this work

This print shows a group of people in a church setting. A bearded man holds a baby while a woman stands next to him. Behind them, more figures watch from a balcony. The floor has patterned tiles, and the walls look like stone. Notice the tiny lines everywhere—they create shadows and texture. This trick is called cross-hatching.
