Agamennone et Menelao argn condoti da Vulcano is a 1634 ink by Balthasar Moncornet, a Baroque work, held at National Gallery of Art.
This print shows a fancy ship packed with people. Two men stand at the front holding tall poles. One has a hammer. The ship is decorated with shields and flags. In the background, a volcano spits smoke. The names on the ship—Agamennone and Menelao—are characters from old stories. The artist carved this scene into metal, then pressed it onto paper.
