This image shows a carved stone temple wall with three giant figures standing side by side. They’re carved straight into the rock, wearing headdresses and holding staffs. Between them are tall, narrow columns covered in hieroglyphs—symbols carved into the stone. The figures look like they’re guarding the entrance, with their stiff, powerful poses. The hieroglyphs tell stories or names, but they’re hard to read up close. If you like this kind of ancient carving, check out The Cleveland Museum of Art.
