This painting is packed with overlapping faces, all in bright, messy colors. The heads are close together, some looking up, some sideways, all mixed in a swirl of reds, blues, and greens. The brushstrokes are thick and uneven, like the paint was slapped on fast. The faces don’t quite match—some are blurry, others sharp, and a few look almost ghostly.
