Museo Rufino Tamayo

The Museo Rufino Tamayo is an art museum in Oaxaca de Juarez, the capital of Oaxaca state in southern Mexico. Founded on 29 January 1974 by the Oaxacan-born painter Rufino Tamayo, the institution is also known as the Museo de Arte Prehispanico de Mexico. Its core mission is to preserve and display pre-Columbian art while fostering public awareness of Mexico's deep cultural heritage.
