Museu Rodin Bahia

The Museu Rodin Bahia was a museum in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, dedicated to the works of the French sculptor Auguste Rodin. Although named after Rodin, the institution also focused on the broader genre of plastic arts, featuring works by Brazilian and international artists. The museum was housed in the historic Palacete das Artes in the Graça neighborhood. It operated until 2023, when it was replaced by the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bahia.

The initiative to establish the museum began in 2002, following the success of several exhibitions dedicated to Rodin across Brazil. While it was initially expected to open in 2003, the project experienced significant delays. Negotiations began in 2007, and the museum was ultimately inaugurated in 2009. This opening was scheduled to coincide with the Year of France in Brazil. The institution functioned as a dedicated Rodin museum until its replacement in 2023.

The museum's primary focus was the work of Auguste Rodin, encompassing 62 pieces by the sculptor. Beyond Rodin, the collection expanded to cover the wider field of plastic arts. It included works by numerous other artists, specifically featuring Brazilian and Spanish creators, alongside other international pieces.
