The Pinacoteca is housed in Palazzo della Marra, a Baroque building located at via Cialdini 74 in Barletta's historic center. The palace was originally the residence of the Orsini family and later the Marra family. Its architecture features three floors arranged around an internal courtyard, with a colonnaded loggia. The ground level contains a large, richly decorated loggia composed of five arches with cross vaults. The upper floors, which accommodate the museum, extend along the perimeter of the atrium; the first floor retains wooden ceiling decorations. The permanent collection occupies the second floor, while the first floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions. This Baroque structure, with its aristocratic proportions and internal courtyard, provides a fitting historical setting for the presentation of 19th-century art, though the museum's installation within it dates only to 2007.
