The Nine British Art

The Nine British Art is a private art gallery situated in the St James's district of central London, England. A more definitive move occurred in 2006, when the gallery established itself at 9 Bury Street in St James's, London SW1. This specific street address directly inspired its current name, which the gallery officially adopted in 2018, replacing the Paisnel Gallery identity to operate under the flagship name The Nine British Art. In 2024, the gallery relocated again, moving from Bury Street to Pall Mall in London SW1.

The gallery's holdings encompass 20th and 21st century British art, with a primary concentration on art produced since World War II. Its historical strengths lie in paintings and sculptures by artists of the St Ives School and the broader post-war period. Alongside handling secondary market works by eminent historical figures, the gallery represents a roster of contemporary artists. Its contemporary representation includes artists such as Robert Fogell, Leigh Davis, Richard Fox, Jeremy Gardiner, Jonathan S. Hooper, Keith Milow, Tim Woolcock, and Gary Wragg. Notable contemporary exhibitions include Leigh Davis: Pushing Boundaries in 2022 and Gary Wragg: Still Soaring at 70 in 2017.

The gallery has occupied several sites across London. Its inaugural space was on Fulham Road, followed by a period at 22 Mason's Yard starting in the early 1990s. The Bury Street site served as the gallery's home until 2024, when the institution relocated to 40/41 Pall Mall in St James's, London SW1Y 5JG.
