The Villa Croce Museum of Contemporary Art (Museo d'Arte Contemporanea Villa Croce) is a museum of Italian and international contemporary art located in the Carignano quarter of Genoa, in northwestern Italy. In 1951, the Croce family donated the property to the Municipality of Genoa with the binding condition that it be used as a museum. The museum itself opened in 1985, its permanent collection assembled through the research efforts of Maria Cernuschi Ghiringhelli, wife of the Milanese painter and art dealer Gino Ghiringhelli. Since 2012, the museum has operated under a public-private partnership involving the Municipality of Genoa, the Palazzo Ducale Foundation for Culture, and a group of private supporters. Ilaria Bonacossa served as curator from June 2012 to December 2017; Carlo Antonelli has held the position since January 2018.
