The Master of San Lucchese was an Italian painter active in Tuscany around the middle of the fourteenth century. His identity is unknown; the name derives from an altarpiece in the church of San Lucchese near Poggibonsi, between Florence and Siena. He worked within the Florentine tradition of the period, combining the Gothic style with the gold-ground techniques of Tuscan panel painting.
His principal known work, the San Lucchese Madonna, depicts the Virgin and Child and reflects the devotional painting produced for Tuscan churches in the years around 1350. Little is documented about his training or career.
