Sun Hu

Sun Hu is a Qing dynasty painting artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at National Palace Museum.

A Qing dynasty artist known for a single towering scroll, this painter captured the bustle of 12th-century Kaifeng in Along the River During the Qingming Festival. The scroll shows markets, temples, and boats along a riverside avenue packed with tiny figures and daily life. Look for the bridge where vendors cluster and the temple with its red gate, both appear mid-scroll. Tap the scroll to zoom in on a boatman poling past the archway.
