The Master of Osma is the conventional name given to an anonymous Spanish painter active in Castile in the later fifteenth century. Like many such notnames, the designation derives from works connected to the region of El Burgo de Osma, in the province of Soria. He painted in the Hispano-Flemish style then current in Castile, which married the gold grounds and devotional formats of late Gothic Spain to the detailed naturalism of Netherlandish painting.
His name is attached to the Altarpiece of Saint Michael at Corrales de Duero, a multi-panel retable of the kind produced for parish churches of the period.
