This print shows a chaotic scene with two levels of figures. On top, a group of robed men stand in doorways, watching. Below, muscular men drag a fallen figure, surrounded by others in action—some kneeling, some striking. The architecture looks like stone arches and columns, and the whole scene is in black and white. Notice how the artist uses deep shadows and strong contrasts to make the figures pop. The mix of calm observers and violent action creates tension.
