Five beetles is a 1884 watercolor by Beatrix Potter, a Impressionism work, depicting Insect, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
A watercolour study by Beatrix Potter depicts five beetles on writing paper headed *Gorse Hall, Stalybridge*. The beetles are identified as a burying beetle, dor beetle, Prionus coriarius (a longhorn beetle), oil beetle, and Pterostichus (ground beetle). The work may have been created during her visits to Gorse Hall in 1884 or 1886. It was later acquired by the V&A in 1973 as part of the Linder Bequest.
