Untitled is a 1894 watercolor by Beatrix Potter, a Impressionism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This painting shows a quiet hallway with two arched doorways. The floor is dark wood, and the walls are plain, light-colored with a hint of texture. Sunlight streams in from the far end, lighting a staircase and a small window. A wooden railing runs along the right side, leading up to the next floor. The artist used soft watercolors to keep things simple and calm. The light and shadows make the space feel real but gentle. Look up Victoria and Albert Museum to see more of this artist’s work.
A watercolour and pen-and-ink drawing over pencil depicts a landing and corridor, featuring a round-headed door with an adjacent arch leading to a staircase and another arch at the far end before a traceried window. The composition includes a mauve carpet, a pale brown wardrobe in the foreground, and delicate early 19th-century ironwork balusters. The work demonstrates a careful study of perspective, rendered with subtle washes of claret, ochre, and silver-grey. It was later donated to the National Book League (now the Book Trust) as part of the Linder Collection.
