Studies of palms and other foliage, with a domed tomb and a goat is a 16 by George Chinnery, a Romanticism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This drawing shows palm trees, dense foliage, and a domed tomb with a goat. The artist included Indian figures by the tomb, which adds a human element to the scene. The details of the plants and trees are also carefully drawn, showing the artist's attention to nature. You can learn more about this style by looking at the technique of cross-hatching.
The drawing features palm trees and dense foliage alongside Indian figures near a domed tomb, with a goat positioned beneath a plantain tree. Part of an album containing 175 sketches made in China and India, it was bequeathed in 1928 by James Orange as part of a collection of 93 drawings by George Chinnery. Chinnery, an artist born in London in 1774, worked primarily in British India and later in Macau, where he died in 1852.
