This print shows a tangled forest floor, thick with roots and fallen leaves. A lone yew tree stands in the center, its branches bare and twisted. The ground is a mix of shadows and patches of light, with dead leaves scattered everywhere. The artist used deep black lines and shading to create a sense of depth and texture. It looks like the print was made by pressing ink into a plate, then pressing paper onto it. Look up Victoria and Albert Museum to see more prints like this.
