This painting shows a simple street scene with a two-story house in the center. The building has a worn roof and three small windows on the front, with light spilling from one. In front, a horse pulls a wooden cart loaded with dark shapes—maybe bags or furniture. A few people stand nearby: one person in a dark coat leans against a post, another in a bright hat walks toward the house. The trees and sky are painted loosely, with soft watercolor strokes. The artist used quick, sketchy brushstrokes to suggest movement, especially in the horse and cart. The colors are muted, with blues and grays dominating, but the bright hat adds a pop of contrast.
