The story of this work

Overview

A drawing by George Chinnery depicts a goat looking over the back of a kid. The work is part of an album of 93 drawings bequeathed in 1928 by James Orange. Chinnery, born in London in 1774, trained at the Royal Academy and later became a prominent artist in British India, before settling in Macau in 1825.
