This print shows life from London’s theater world in the 1800s. Robert Honner trained as a ballet dancer before joining acting troupes. He played comic roles like Harlequin and Clown across London stages. Honner later ran Sadler’s Wells theater himself. He married actress Maria Macarthy and they performed together.
