Reconstruction of the three temples at Sbeitla is a 1885 watercolor by Alexander Graham, a Impressionism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This drawing shows three tall, stone temples side by side, each with columns and steps leading up to them. The buildings look old and worn, with smooth surfaces and carved details on the rooftops. A few small figures walk around the front, giving a sense of scale to the huge structures. The artist focused on the light hitting the temples, making some parts look bright and others shadowy. This helps show the shape and texture of the stone. Next, look up *Graham, Alexander (FRIBA)* to see how he made these sketches.
A watercolour drawing by Alexander Graham depicts a reconstructed view of the three temples at Sbeitla, Tunisia, published in 1887 as a heliogravure in *Travels in Tunisia* by Graham and H.S. Ashbee. The work is part of a series of Tunisian subjects documented during the late 19th century. It was later acquired by Phillips, Son & Neale in 1972.
