Untitled is a 1951 ink by Henri Matisse, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This painting shows bold black X-shapes stacked in layers. Behind them are flat blocks of bright yellow, red, and blue. The edges look rough, like someone cut out the shapes and glued them down. The artist signed it in the corner with just two letters: "H.M." The colors feel simple but clash in a way that makes you look twice.
