This etching shows a crowded temple scene. At the center, a woman holds a baby while a priest stands nearby. Around them, other people watch or pray, dressed in long robes. Above, two small paintings hang on the wall, and the space looks old with brick arches and stone floors. Down front, a few figures sit on the steps, watching the scene. The artist used sharp lines and deep shadows to create drama. The Latin text at the bottom reads *"Maria Iesum in templo offert"*—which means Mary is presenting Jesus in the temple. Next, check out chiaroscuro to see how this strong light-and-shadow trick works.
