This painting shows a forest path in autumn. Tall trees line the narrow trail, their trunks dark and rough. Sunlight filters through the leaves, lighting up the yellow and orange foliage on the right. The ground is covered in fallen leaves and rocks. The brushstrokes are loose and quick, almost like the artist painted fast. This style was used to capture light and movement in nature.
